The fourth and final episode in The Dark Seas of Infinity's Reeke Manor series.
Session Date: 15 Apr 2026
Scenario
Continuing from session 3, Sir George Reeke has invited several guests to dinner on 31 Oct 1927 at his secluded Tudor manor located in England.
The cops arrived and sent three individuals out to check on the generator, one goes insane, another makes it back to the manor only to have an out-of-body experience, while the third tries to make friends with...moths. Mean while, two ladies and a gent are unable to open a safe before hearing a horrific scream. A third death has occurred at the hands of the Colonel. These military men sure are making things interesting. Must also mention that the French detective doesn't seem to be all that...French.

Moments of Note
We open in the Trophy Room with Roz fumbling a first aid roll which leads to Elyse believing Colonel Mustard is dead. She also looks for the knife he had but can't find. Where did that knife go? Probably vanished into some sort of portal.
Magnus just wants to get out of the Trophy Room so heads to the Conservatory where he comes upon Sadie. After feeling woozy from the pollen, he tries to take some smelling salts to avoid its affects. A failed roll and push only means Magnus still succumbs to the same pollen that took out Sadie. Now that's solidarity at its finest.
Back in the Trophy Room, Elyse examines the mysterious head. While she does, a sickly rat scurries out of its eye socket. Elyse then pockets the strange head and heads to the master bedroom. She seems to mistaking Reeke Manor as a free-for-all gift shop.
James Cole enters the Billiard Room and Scott spends some luck to have a success at a spot-hidden roll only to notice a missing 8-ball. I suppose all the previous bad rolls have led to this single, mediocre success.
Leaving the Billiard Room for the Library, Prof. Cole finds Al-khouri full of strange cuttings on his body. The Professor shrugs this off and spots the lock safe. He then heads off to the dining room to inform the constable of the body he found in the library. Snitches get ... just wait, it's coming.
Prof, Cole approaches the Constable who then talks of a witch who did something to the plants and animals that impacted the nearby inhabitants. IDK all of it exactly because Prof Cole is not good at listening, but Magnus does overhear what is being said. He's not eavesdropping though, he's just conducting an acoustic audit of his environment
There's a scream in the kitchen. Oh, know, not again! Elyse (from upstairs) and and Harry (from the hall) head towards the kitchen, the Professor high-tails it out of there and flees toward the study. He's not quite yellow... (2 points to your house if you get this multi-layered joke)
While floating about the manor (you know, because he's unconscious from the pollen in the Conservatory), he decides to go toward a glowing light coming through some doorway.
Mean while in the kitchen, a clearly possessed Elizabeth is carving up the cook, who was never named. This is what happens when you miss a session...possession! Oh, and could this be the knife the Colonel had? Is the knife possessed? Will we ever know?
Elyse makes an attempt to distract Elizabeth so she goes for her stolen 8-ball. Drat! All she finds is her garrote and some lint. She does have some solid 10/10 hand to pocket coordination, it's her inventory that was lackluster.
Elizabeth is spouting something about the ritual needing to be completed, but it isn't her voice. Roz passes a sanity roll, so Elyse is completely fine with this. The infantry officer? Not so much.
Harry begins to bellow an ear curdling scream of anger. Hasn't this soldier endured enough already? Although this will be a dinner party he'll never forget, just you wait and see.
Elyse, wanting to leave the kitchen, tries to shove the Captain out of the way but just bounces right off of him. We're not sure if Elyse was attempting to push a person or a brick wall.
Over in the study, Prof. Cole finds some documents in the desk with the number 1580 written and circled all over the place. Could this be the safe combination? (spoiler alert: it is)
Before James Cole can return to the safe in the library, in walks the Constable who has blood on his cuffs. Cole moves closer to the Constable to try to gather more information. When he does, the Constable brandishes a switch-blade and lunges at the professor. The professor reacts quickly in a panic-stricken frenzy and raises his firearm, but his shot misses and Cole gets cut by the Constable. ...get stiches. I told you it was coming.
Magnus has reached the room with the glowing light and enters. It's a cellar. Magnus is also experiencing memories that don't seem to be his own, and does not have much interest in this room so heads off to the kitchen. This room was clearly not for him - no artwork.
Back in the kitchen, Elyse now slaps the Captain. Guess what? This stops him from screaming and knocks him back into reality. She did it, she actually did it. Where others have failed, Elyse has succeeded. He just needed to be slapped, that's it. The lights have come back on.
After her success with the infinitary officer, Elyse turns her attention toward Elizabeth. She did not try slapping her and instead screams for help. So she's fine with slapping a soldier but not an actress?
At least one person hears her call for help and heads that way - Magnus. What a noble act by such a good Samaritan, going off running toward the danger. If only he was actually in his own body.
A now sane Capt. Jones carefully tackles Elizabeth to the ground with the knife she was using making a clattering sound as it hits the floor. Please Capt. Jones, don't shoot anyone else.
A blob (Magnus?) enters the kitchen with the head of Randall Reeke. I doubt anyone had that on their bingo, err Call of Cthulhu, card.
As you might suspect, Jones has another brush with insanity, but has seen so much that he gets mythos points this time. (yay!!) But also develops monophobia - the fear of being alone. (boo!!!)
Elyse starts to hear jazz playing in her head as her memory of current event fades and she is whisked away back to her favorite dive joint. She has no clue what is going on. It's fair to say that none of us really knows what is going on at this point, save for Jessie.
Elyse questions where she is and Magnus/Randall/The Blob manages to respond, only to say, "I believe we're in the kitchen." Such a profound exclamation this is. Not.
Suddenly the physical body of Magnus now enters the kitchen spouting out something about never going to be stopped. Magnus' mind rejoins his body, but only after insanity grants Magnus dromomania - an uncontrollable, abnormal urge to wonder. So, Magnus quickly makes his exit to complete his whirlwind visit. Bye! Have a jolly good time, Magnus.
Prof. Cole, having stabs the constable with his own knife, makes it out of the study, and proceeds to the library. He's not just a man on a mission, he's on a high-stakes tactical operation of major focus.
Just for clarity, Patrick describes the events that have happen in the kitchen concerning the Magnus blob and the Magnus body. Picturing these events is quite humorous actually.
The captain shoots the blob.
Elyse pulls out the strange head thingy. That's it.
Cole opens the safe and finds that pesky manuscript he's been looking for. Success! Time to bolt.
The detective arrives in the kitchen and announces that as the bell tolls midnight, the boundary is broken and the angel can be freed.
The captain calls for everyone to go to the lake, which he, Elyse, and the detective all proceed to do.
The professor, who has attempted to leave but finds his car has sprung a gas leak, also goes toward the lake.
A bright light lifts off from the lake...the angel is freed and grants everyone some "gifts."
Capt. Harry Jones grows another face.
Elyse Cordova grows a third hand and third leg.
Prof. James Cole becomes...human. What?
Elizabeth, Sadie, and Al-khouri...? We're unsure about them, actually.
And Magnus Hart? He went wondering off toward London. At first he was simply walking, then jogging, and finally ended up running...wondering off into the night.
This concludes the Reeke Manor series.
