Episode Log
Let the attack begin. Agent Yarnman takes out his submachine gun. Agent Ironwood finds a fire axe. You know, because both weapons will shell out the same amount of damage.
Agent Yarnman opens fire, some bullets bounce off and others hit some of the faces in the grey protoplasma goo which releases terrifying screams. In this case "hitting your target" just means you managed to hit 'something'.
Agent Ironwood lets out multiple WTFs then goes swinging his axe. He hits one head in the face mainly because that head was moving toward the axe from his swing. At least one of them was using their head, although not effectively.
Agent Yarnman is feeling these attacks. Everytime the protomatter blob takes damage, his head hurts a bit more from a massive headache. He was expected maybe a little sympathetic resonance on this mission, but didn't think it meant getting a migraine when he fired his gun.
After Scott rolls a critical success on his next attack, the blob is taken out and Agent Yarnman passes out. So the Agents dropped the assest but the assest also dropped one of the Agents.
Remember that sweet, young, innocent, albeit dumb, receptionist? Agent Yarnman puts a bullet in between her eyes after he regains conciousness and Scott is glad he gets to kill someone just to kill them. What is that all about? Don't ask, you could be next.
Agent Yarnman hits the basement while Agent Ironwood searches for keys for something (the notes don't state what Ironwood was upto). He goes to check the Aldermen and sees nothing but naked bodies free of the goo. No, he was not interested in any sort of orgy.
Agent Yarnman comes upon the records room and goes to find the addresses of the people on the list from Scott Adam's notes. Scott then asks Jessie to provide each of the addresses that Yarnman found to make his GM work. Jessie doesn't comply.
The cleaning crew of Earl and Gregory arrive to do their best work...make it all look like a gas leak explosion. They've made so many occult crime scenes look like ’faulty water heaters’ that FEMA is about to launch a recall.
Agent Yarnman attempts to spray Agent Ironwood with the protomater detection spray (PDS) while Ironwood is wearing his Hazmat suit. No success.
Agent Yarnman sprays him again when the suit is off and sees tiny glowing specs seemingly tracing Ironwood's blood stream. His veins looked like a haunted rave or something worse.
As they get into Yarnman's vehicle, Ironwood sprays Yarnman and sees a tremedous amount of glowing action. He lit up so bright that a lead-lined containment crate might be required.
Agent Ironwood losses enought sanity to reach his breaking point. That didn't take long...let's review what Ironwood has recently witnessed in just one day:
A "clean-up" crew using materiels to disolve a body to eliminate a corpse.
Being told about a woman who has only been pregant for weeks is actually in her third trimester.
Coming upon a protomatter blob of faces, legs, and arms of the county aldermen.
Witnessing his fellow Delta Green Agent shootd a young woman in between the eyes.
Seeing said agent glowing very brightly and noticiable from a likely protomatter infestation.
Cliff hanger conclusion - check!
